All 5 tide port selections (pulldown on the left) and all 5 marine forecast zones (pulldown on the right) are always available in layers beneath their pulldowns without needing to refetch. However, you can customize the one that initially appears on your page, as well as your local weather report location (by zipcode) and it's associated radar, by using this simple procedure:
|
http://www.wadespage.com/cgi/hw3wgp/hw3.cgi?&forecast=zandh&pands=33404&tide=2&mfc=2 |
1 |
Highlight and copy the above URL exactly as shown and paste it into the address window of your browser. Leave no blank whitespace.
|
2 |
Edit the 5 digit number following '&pands=' to be the zipcode of your desired local weather forecast area. (can be either where you live OR where you are going boating/diving, or even your grandma's house)
|
3 |
Pick the default port for the tides and sun and moon data from this chart. Edit the number after '&tide='
i.e. &tide=1 for Fort Lauderdale |
0 1 2 3 4 |
Port of Miami Ft Lauderdale West Palm Beach Ft Pierce Cape Canaveral |
4 |
Pick the default zone for your marine forecast according to this chart. Edit the number after '&mfc='
i.e. &mfc=2 for the West Palm Beach area |
0 1 2 3 4 |
Flagler Beach to Cocoa Beach Cocoa Beach to Jupiter Inlet Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef Ocean Reef to Craig Key |
5 |
Follow your customized URL to a new weather page to test it. Remember, give it time. It's fetching the data from up to 6 other government websites.
|
6 |
Save the URL in your favorites. Make as many different ones as you need.
|
Also note, this is a SE Florida weather page. The 5 Ports and 5 marine zones remain the same, even if you put in Nantucket, Massachusetts for your local weather. Yes, you'll get Nantucket's weather, and Florida's tides and marine conditions. So put in a SE Florida location, and see what's going on there.
